Welcome to Littlest Angels Christian Preschool and Daycare Center!
Our Mission Statement
In effort to serve and reach out to our community, Littlest Angels at Village Lutheran Church seeks to provide a quality program to nurture children in a Christian environment since our opening in September of 2001.
In this Christian atmosphere, we teach the child about the love of God. We want each child to know that he or she is a child of God. We teach them respect for and love of all creatures and other wonders of this world.
We encourage children to think for themselves, and to make decisions and choices. The activities in our program foster self-motivation, independence and creativity with caregivers who know that children who feel good about themselves are prepared to develop all of their God-given talents to the fullest.
Our Philosophy
In an effort to serve and reach out to our community, Littlest Angels strives to be an extension of the home first and a business second.
Our goal is to minimize any separation anxiety for parent and child by providing sensitivity and understanding. Each family situation, as well as each individual child, is unique and should receive the attention necessary to make both parent and child comfortable.
Nurtured in a Christian atmosphere, we encourage our children and their families to share in the knowledge that God loves us and chare for us as His children.
Our Programs
Littlest Angels has many different programs to offer the community. Our infant room ranges from the ages of six weeks through approximately eighteen months. In this room, the staff lovingly takes care of each child as if he or she was their own.
Next, we have the Toddler Room, which includes children after age eighteen months through age two. In this room, the children are walking and are no longer drinking from a bottle. The students in this class are introduced to their shapes, colors, letters, and numbers. They also work on fine and gross motor skills, such as how to feed themselves, how to hold a crayon, and how to wash their hands. Potty training is also started in this class.
When the children are three and potty trained, they are ready for our Nursery Class. Here the children continue with the study of letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. The children also learn skills such as how to hold a pencil, tracing, cutting, and coloring in the lines. In this class, the students begin to go to chapel with Pastor one day a week.
Our Preschool Class prepares our four and five year olds for Kindergarten. We follow along with the Lacey Township curriculum. The students are able to write their names, as well as recognize letters and numbers. They also begin penmanship and work on taking responsibility for their actions and belongings.
We also offer before and after care for the students that are in Kindergarten. Lacey Township buses students from all of the elementary schools to our facility.
