VLC’s BlueClaws Night Tuesday, August 16th 7:05 game time:
We have the official sign-up sheet out for the August 16th Faith Night at the BlueClaws. We have 100 seats reserved in the picnic section. Remember if we get 75 people to go - our own Praise Band will get to sing the National Anthem!! We have booked the picnic section this gives us ½ hour before the game and 1.5 hours into the game, unlimited food and drinks. Come hungry and get ready for a fun night! If you haven’t signed up yet we need you to do so NOW!!! Money is due to Wendy (payable to Village Lutheran Church) by July 12th as we have to turn in our final count and money 1 month prior. Adults are $24.95 and Ages 12 – 4 $16.95 kids under 4 are free. Hope to see you there.
Vacation Bible School:
Our “Big Jungle Adventure” is right around the corner - July 18th – 22nd. We really need you to sign-up your children now! We are still in need of helpers to assist with the week. Even if it’s just for one day (like registration Monday Morning or our pot luck Friday night). Please let us know if you can help. Look for our food donation sheets posted on the VBS table beginning the first week of July! We are asking our Congregation to pray for a successful week for our VBS – please pray that our kids and volunteers grow closer to Jesus because of His love shown through our efforts during this year’s VBS. May the Adventure be to His glory!
VBS Wish List Items: (please check the VBS table to see if we have received any of these things – we’ll cross it off if we have enough)
Green rolls of construction paper any color – for making grasses and leaves.
Green, brown & tan colored plastic table rolls usually from the party stores (Greens especially)– we need several shared of green for our leaf canopy
Plastic Foliage leaf bunches or garland. Dollar store stuff is fine! – think jungle looking items. Exotic flowers too.
Artificial Plastic trees/plants – if you put your name on them we will return them after VBS.
A mosquito net
A sound spa machine or CD that plays jungle noises or babbling book/waterfall sounds.
